This skill-set develops core knowledge and practical skills required to assist clients to self-administer medication. It includes 2 units; HLTAAP001 Recognise healthy body systems and HLTHPS006 Assist clients with medication.

Overview

Estimated duration is HLTAAP001 6 hours self-paced; HLTHPS006 Assist clients with medication 6 hours self-paced + 6 hours classroom + 3 hours work practical.

Participants will be issued a Statement of Attainment on successful completion

Delivery Options

Delivered by a registered nurse or registered enrolled nurse, experienced in the Community Services sector.
Onsite or offsite
Part 1 – Self paced theory
Part 2 – Face to face theory and practical simulation
Part 3 – Workplace practical skills assessment
