CHC33015 Certificate III in Individual Support (Ageing, Home and Community, Disability)

Become a qualified Support Worker in the Ageing or Home and Community industry by completing your Certificate III in Individual Support.

By completing our National Recognised Training, you will be able to provide paid support to those who require it due to ageing, disability or some other reason in an Aged Care Facility or in a Home and Community setting.

With small class sizes, dedicated trainers and opportunities for employment through Vocational Placement, we ensure you are job ready.

Course Overview

This course requires you to complete a total of 14 units of study, made up of 9 Core and 5 Elective units.

Delivery Options

We offer two different delivery options for our in Certificate III in class training:

Full Time

  • Monday to Thursday
  • 9 am to 3 pm
  • 6 weeks in class training
  • 120 hours of vocational placement

Part Time

  • Friday
  • 9 am to 3 pm
  • 21 weeks in class training
  • 120 hours of vocational placement

Completion times may vary according to individual circumstances.

Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL)

Both formal and informal skills, knowledge and experience may be recognised as prior learning and could help you avoid training in areas you are already competent.

Entry Requirements

  • Must be Australian or New Zealand Citizen or Permanent Resident
  • Police Check Certificate (Australian Federal Police check only)
  • Completion of English to year 12 or equivalent
    OR acceptable English language, literacy and numeracy skills

Individual support is available for students who face barriers to participating in accredited learning.

Vocational Placement
We have existing quality relationships with our local Facilities and Organisations which ensure our students are offered the best Vocational Placement opportunities possible.

We will arrange your Vocational Placement for you and do our best to place you with a Facility or Organisation close to home.

If you’re already working in the Industry, you can complete your Vocational Placement at your workplace if you choose.

Although Vocational Placement is unpaid, it provides fantastic work experience as well the confidence and contacts that will assist in gaining employment.

Fees and Charges

Fee for Service

Fee For Service applies to Students who don’t meet the funding criteria.

 Total Course Cost: $2940

Tuition Fees: $2890
Police check: $50
Enrolment fee: $289 non-refundable deposit

Certificate 3 Guarantee Program Funding

Funding is available through the Department of Education and Training (DET) to students who meet the criteria.

Under the Certificate III Guarantee Program funding, students are required to pay a Student Contribution Fee.

Concession rates apply to those students who have a Government issued concession card.
